LESSONS LEARNED

THIS IS A BLOG ABOUT LESSONS LEARNED.

Myself and two kids live in chronic pain from Ehlers Danlos. I have learned not just a few lessons the hard way. This is a blog of twenty twenty hind site and helping others through the mine field. I have a particular passion for lessons learned in pediatrics thanks to my little zebras. I also have a passion for fascia - The little talked about but core of Ehlers Danlos. For a while don't look for fancy, but the information is there. For now it is in the form of stories, soon, hopefully, it will have pictures, links and lists. Lists are good with EDS. Short to read and to the point.
WELCOME and THANK YOU for letting me into your world. Never forget. You are ZEBRASTRONG.

AMAZON SMILE SUPPORTS EHLERS DANLOS SOCIETY

I wanted to remind everyone that in this season of shopping, specifically on Amazon, you can order to your gifting delight and support the Ehlers Danlos Society. Next time you want to use Amazon, go out to Amazon.com/smile. When it asks you to find a charity to give to, choose Ehlers Danlos. Then, make sure you go in through your Amazon Smile link every time you shop. Every quarter or so the Society will get a nice check. The more people shop, the more money they give.

Don't forget to spread the word through social media and if you have family and friends that really can't afford large gifts or donations this season tell them that your perfect gift is knowing they have Amazon Smile set to donate to the charity that advocates for your syndrome. Best gift I could get these days.

I feel like an infomercial but it just came to my head that people might not know or might forget. If you don't go in through the smile side they don't do the donation. Every penny helps each and every one of us.

May all your holidays be gentle and fun. We all deserve both. Make sure that when everyone else is running around malls like crazy that you use online resources to save your body. There is nothing you can't have delivered, even from small businesses. Then use the spoons you saved to enjoy a seasonal activity. It is all about choosing where your spoons are allocated. Remember that you are loved and supported by everyone on Inspire and everyone who supports each of us.

Some of us may feel down during the holidays. Remember that nobody and nothing has the right to take away even a second of your happiness. I live by those worlds. I have a right to a great life - even with EDS. You have only a certain amount of time on this planet and just because the expectations and activities are amped up during the holiday season it doesn't mean you need to push yourself to hard. Those who love you will understand, those who don't aren't worth your time. Sounds trite, but heck, it's actually true.

Gentle hugs and good humor to all, and to all an insomniacs good night!

"I hear a herd of Zebra" - and they shopped on Amazon and donated a lot of money to the Ehlers Danlos Society!
